CBC? Are you serious!

It has been awhile since I posted anything because I wanted to take a break from all of the political garbage going on in Washington , but something happened this weekend that I just had to post about.  Apparently during a Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) gathering in Detroit, MI, Representative Maxine Waters asked for permission from those attending to attack President Barack Obama about his unemployment policies.  According to the latest figures, black people have a higher unemployment percentage than any other race.  The CBC is now saying that Obama is not focusing enough on black issues and that he should be instituting programs that help blacks to be employed.

I find this amusing because had a white politician said the same thing within the same context he would have been branded a "racist."  Why can't politicians get out of their pandering to certain groups and focus on the real issue.  The economy is in the tank, unemployment is high, and the only solution Obama wants is to raise taxes and to spend more money that we do not have.  We have been told by black politicians and activists for awhile that criticism of President Obama is basically rooted in underlying racism in our country.  That people who are against Obama are only against him because he is black.  I guess this now means that members of the CBC are now showing their own underlying racism.  Of course this comment is tongue and cheek because how could a black person be racists against a member of their own race.  Now it could be racism since Obama is from more of a mixed ethnicity since his father was black and his mother was white, so a black person could be racist toward that aspect.

IMO, what is happening is a basic failure of the liberal agenda.  First and foremost, Obama is a socialist liberal.  Many of the members of the CBC are socialist liberals.  For them to now be coming out wanting to criticize someone with the same political affiliation just goes to show how out of touch they are with their own beliefs.  Winston Churchill had it right when he said, "We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." The CBC would have you to believe that they are different and that they are seeking the will of their constituents, which is laughable. Right now all they are trying to do is distance themselves from Obama because even among black voters his poll numbers are falling. The independent voters are bailing on him and whether the CBC is willing to admit it or not they also need a significant independent vote turnout in order to stay in office.

The world is not so black and white anymore, there are so many ethnicities and ethnic mixtures that the old racial classifications really are outdated. To continue to hold to a racial political divide is just asking for further alienation of the public. The problem is that these politicians ran on this platform in order to get into office and they just cannot bring themselves to abandon a mindset that elected them at first. IMO, people are tired of hearing how racist the USA is, and that if you do not believe a certain way then you are racist. There are racists out there but I believe that most people are basically accepting of other races until they are taught otherwise.

Health Care Bill, DEMS ARE YOU SERIOUS!

Well yesterday the Republicans in the Senate tried to vote on the repeal of the Healthcare law and as expected it was rejected on a strict party line vote.  Everyone saw this coming.  And of course the Republicans are crowing about the Florida judge's ruling the act unconstitutional, and the Democrats are quoting the rulings form the other two federal judges who have said the act is constitutional.  From what I have read it all seems to come down to an interpretation of the commerce clause of the Constitution.  I thought the definition of "extortion" is forcing someone to pay money so something else will not happen, not "commerce."  Isn't that exactly what the Dems are doing?  You either buy health insurance or we will forcibly take it from you or throw you in jail.  So much for freedom.

One of the biggest things I have a problem with in the Healthcare Bill is the mandate that everyone must purchase insurance.   The Dems are requiring a 25 year old person to buy insurance because according to their logic that 25 year old will eventually need health care.  That 25 year old if he takes care of himself may not have to go to the doctor until they are 50 if they stay healthy.  Most people treat themselves at home for common ailments and only need health insurance for major illnesses.  My current health insurance through my employer costs me $5,600/year, but it costs my employer about $11,000/year. If my employer stopped paying for my insurance and I had to purchase it in the open market a bare bones policy would cost me about $8,400/year.  So the Dems will require someone who owns their own business to fork out over $210,000 for something they may not even use during that time.  And if they don't fork it out they will tax the person or threaten them with imprisonment.  So much for promoting a person's general welfare.

It has been compared to car insurance which in I believe to be an inaccurate comparison.  You do not have to buy car insurance unless you own a car and even then you only have to prove you have insurance when you renew your tag or license.  For this reason it is not an accurate comparison.  The liberals have also said that we are forced to give money to Social Security and Medicaid.  Well I would like for these programs to go away also.  They are the same as the health insurance program.

Many liberals have been spouting off that this is all part of the section for the Constitution that says the Government will provide for the general welfare.  Well that is fine, but where does it say that I must be forced to provide for someone else's general welfare.  Also the term "welfare" means, "the state of doing well or prosperity", or "aid in the form of money or necessities for those in need."  Some would say health insurance is a necessity, but someone can go to the hospital and pay cash for the services without insurance.  If someone is not capable to pay then where does it say that government is then responsible for providing for them. To me that is specific welfare not general.  In the same section regarding general welfare, Article I Section 8, it says that "all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the Unites States."  But Harry Reid violated that section when he agreed to give money to Louisiana in the from of Medicaid for disaster relief.  The Cornhusker Kickback was removed but apparently the Louisiana money was not.  So much for uniformity.

What I also find interesting is that the Healthcare bill does not exempt some religious groups who do not believe in using doctors and by using doctors they are violating a tenet of their faith.  By forcing them to purchase health insurance aren't you also violating the first amendment which says, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."  There is supposedly a religious clause, but how long before that goes to the wayside if revenue does not come in as projected or costs are higher than estimated.

There are so many problems with this bill, and many of them could have been addressed, but the liberal Dems in Congress decided to run rough shod over anyone who opposed them.  For Pelosi to say the only way people would know what was in the bill would be for them to pass it, just shows the level of arrogance the liberals had regarding this bill.  If it was not for my family needs, if I was a business owner with only myself to think of, I would probably make them put me in jail, and then sue the Federal Government for unlawful imprisonment.  Imagine how many news organizations would love to see my story about how I was a hard working tax payer who refused to buy health insurance and was thrown in jail.  The liberals would rather imprison those who differ in opinion from them than listen to their viewpoints.

Liberal Dems!! What a bunch of IDIOTS!!

Yesterday the 112th Congress was sworn in.  It is great to see that a country can have such a peaceful transfer of power from one party to the next.  However, with that said I can not believe how narcissistic one person can be.  Nancy Pelosi has brought about a new low in narcissistic behavior.  This lady is completely clueless.  She has yet to acknowledge that her actions for the past 4 years led directly to her party having the worst election defeat in 62 years.  This woman is so full of herself that she had to grandstand before she could bring herself to hand over the gavel.  And liberals accuse conservatives of being fascists!!!! This woman is so addicted to power, I think if she could have she would have never handed over the gavel, but instead state that the results of the election did not mirror the true will of the people but instead was a conspiracy.  We have heard that argument before from other famous dictators (i.e. Chavez, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, etc.)  When will the liberals realize that the crap that spews from San Francisco, New York City, and Hollywood is not how the majority of Americans think.

Also, Howard Dean.  I can not believe anyone gave this man permission to practice medicine.  But of course, we see how good of a doctor he was since he can not seem to go back doing what he was trained to do.  I truly believe this man will say anything just to get his face on television.  He has now accused the Tea Party movement of being racists.  He says the only reason the Tea Party became involved is because they did not like seeing a black man as President.  This man is clearly delusional and needs to be on some stronger medication.  Just like in any walk of life there are racists in every political affiliation.  There are just as many racists in the Democratic Party as there are in the Republican, Green, Libertarian, and other parties.  For Howard Dean to solely point out the Tea Party movement just shows how pissed the liberals are, in that they were not able to squelch legitimate voices being heard.  Liberals have no desire for free speech, they just want to control speech so that anyone who disagrees with them is silenced.  That is why they are the big supporters of the Fairness Doctrine.  Most people have no desire to hear what they have to say so, they have to implement regulations so people have to listen to what they have to say.  Howard Dean, another liberal waste of air.

And lastly, Rep. Jerrold Nadler is at it again.  This guy just needs to go away.  Another waste of air a decent person could be breathing.  Most people realize that the reading of the Constitution by the incoming Republicans is a gimmick, but this guy needs to understand that he takes an oath of office to uphold the very document that is being read.  For this man to say that the Constitution is not "sacred" clearly shows this man has no clue as to the definition of the word. Sure "sacred" can be used in a religious since, but it also means "secured against violation, infringement, ... as by reverence or sense of right."  For him to say that the Constitution should not be treated as sacred or protected just shows how little respect the man has for the document.  It is probably more apparent that Rep. Nadler believes thats the country should be governed by gut feeling and not be governed by laws.  Yes, the Constitution was not perfect when it was signed, but it has been amended to right some of the wrongs.  This man needs to realize that ultimately he serves the people and not his gut, and that the people expect him to govern within the confines the Constitution established.  "We the people, in order to from a more perfect union, establish justice and insure domestic tranquility.  Provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, insure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution."  Of course this man is associated with the Democratic Socialists of America, which is just a less direct way of saying, "I am a Communist."  We all know what Communists think of our Constitution, seeing how almost all of the dictatorships in the world today are Communist.

Billionaires pledging fortunes

OK, I guess the latest fad among the extremely wealthy is to publicly express your desire to donate a majority of their fortunes to charity.  This seems to have all started with Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.  As a whole I am not opposed to this, it is their choice to do with the money they have made whatever they like.  The problem I have is then these same Billionaires spout of liberal trash about needing to raise everyone taxes to fund the government's social programs.  Why not just shut your months and send all of those billions to Obama so he can do what he wants to with it.  Instead they would rather have a "look at me, look how wonderful and caring I am" moment, from money that they made from the wealthy and upper middle class.  Warren Buffett did not make his billions by investing money from the so called poor in this country.  No, he made his money by investing money from the financially secure people who wanted a rate of return for him using their money.  The people who invested the money in turn created the jobs that came from Warren Buffetts sound investments.

The liberals hate this form of free market because it means that people are not beholden to them for what they have.  That is why they want to keep taking it from the more financially secure people.  Liberals are all about bringing wealth and power to themselves because they truly believe that only they have the answers.  That all we have to do is trust them implicitly.  I am sorry but I personally think Nancy Pelosi could not successfully think her way out of a paper bag, and Harry Reid is suspect as well.  I have no idea how Barney Frank even gets out of bed and Henry Waxman should go back to his old job as the "Crypt Keeper."

I say these Billionaires should take a page from the Bible that says when you give you should not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.  If you bring attention to yourself then you have already received your reward.  If these Billionaires want to give away their money, then that is great, there are people in the world who need help, but do not crow about doing it.  Government needs to get out of social programs and stop the class demonization that politicians are famous for.  Businesses need to realize that people are their greatest commodity and not a healthy balance sheet.  Republicans need to stop demonizing immigrants who have not entered the country legally, just as Democrats need to stop demonizing anyone who opposes their social agenda.  Republicans need to remember that the very businesses that support them also support cheap labor that the illegals provide.  The only reason the Democrats support letting them in is because the Unions see the illegals as future members they can squeeze money from.  Everyone in DC is corrupt, so who can you really trust.

Cynicism is easy.

The United Nations - What a Waste!!!

FoxNews.com - UN Appeals for $164M to Combat Haiti Cholera

I will admit that the premise behind the United Nations is admirable, but the implementation is sorely lacking. I can not believe that the UN is now asking for more money to battle a Cholera epidemic when only a few months ago they were forking out over $112,000/day to house UN relief workers on two cruise ships that had been dubbed by UN workers "The Love Boats." By my calculations they could have housed their people in tents and other temporary accommodation like other relief agencies and saved over $100,000/day. If you divide $112,000 into $164 million it equates to almost 1465 days or about 4 years. The so called reasoning for needing the cruise ships was that the workers were working 12, 14, 16 hours a day and that the living conditions in Haiti were appalling. Not to be glib, but the living conditions prior to the earthquake were already appalling. The purpose of the reliefs workers is to get the money and services to the people in need and not spend it frivolously on perks for UN workers. I really do wonder how many UN workers called in sick every morning. Just one year of cruise ship living was over $40 million.

Back to the Cholera epidemic. I completely understand the need for more aid, but any aid should not be sent through the UN which has already proven itself less than reliable and almost down right fraudulent in dispersing aid. There are so many other good, relief agencies who are in Haiti that would be more deserving than the UN, and will actually use the money as intended and not just pay for some bloated bureaucracy. If the UN was really about helping impoverished nations they would have taken the $40 million spent for one year on cruise ships and used it to battle the water problems that developed from the earthquake. Cholera is a water borne disease so with most of the public services devastated from the earthquake, this is the most likely cause of the outbreak. The UN has had almost a year to handle this and what have they done. NOTHING!!!!!

Just like the League of Nations was a failure in that it did not confront Hitler, the United Nations is a complete and utter failure for their lack of response to global world threats as well as trying to present themselves as a global humanitarian organization. Let's tell it like it is, the United Nations is a socialist, liberal bureaucracy created by socialist liberals that should be dismantled.

Who is Charlie Christ??? A Liberal that's who!!!

Clinton Asked Democrat to Quit Florida Senate Race- WSJ.com

I found this article very interesting seeing how the Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, was actually at one time a Republican and was even considered by John McCain to be his VP running mate in 2008. I lived in Florida for many years and I actually voted for Charlie Crist when he ran for Governor, but I did it while holding my nose. I have never seen Charlie Crist as anything but a political opportunist, and what has been happening this year has just solidified that belief.

Crist openly embraced Obama when he thought that Obama's popularity and coattails were something he could ride on.  When it became clear that Crist had made a bad call riding those coattails, he then tried to re-brand himself.  Sorry buddy but you made your bed, time to lay in it.  Crist actually thought the majority of Americans supported Obama because of his policies.  Even before the 2008 election, it was clear the main reason Obama was popular was because he spoke well, and he was something different.  He did not act like the prototypical Washington insider.  The problem for Obama became that he then trusted the Washington insiders to advance the liberal agenda.  Crist got snared and painted with the same brush.  Crist is lucky the Republican party does seek reimbursement for all the money they have shelled out for his campaigns through the years.

Back to the article, to me this had nothing to do with Kendrick Meek, but had everything to do with Charlie Crist.  I think Crist openly asked Clinton to request Meek to withdraw, because I see no end to the methods Crist would try to use to try and get elected.  The man has no character and integrity.  He basically drove the Florida economy into the ground and then when he realized that getting reelected would be tough, he decided to bail and try to ride Obama's coattails into the US Senate.  Well Buddy, I sure do hope Kendrick Meek is a man of character and sees you for who you are.  I think a man who stays true to who he is and still loses, is more of a man than one who sells his soul for a political seat.

Juan Williams Fired From NPR For Muslim Comment - Speakeasy - WSJ

Juan Williams Fired From NPR For Muslim Comment - Speakeasy - WSJ

To me this just shows how Federal funding needs to be removed from Public Television and Radio because it is basically a mouth piece for the liberal media. It should be called "National Pravda Radio". There is nothing bigoted about what Juan Williams said nor is he a bigot for feeling this way. If a Muslim wants to get on a plane in full regalia, then he better be prepared to suffer some quizzical looks and down right mistrust from other people. There is one primary commonality among the hijackers on September 11th as well as the 'shoe bomber", "underwear bomber", the "Mumbai terrorists", and all of the other attacks on western countries the past two decades. All of the attackers were Muslims whose minds have been warped to think that killing innocent people will somehow bring them glory in the after life. For anyone to think different means they are fooling themselves in believing that there is not evil in the world.

To get back to the NPR thing, the only people who continue to listen to NPR as their sole source of news, are the liberals who either cannot or will not pay for other news sources. There is nothing public about public television. Jim Lerher is one of the biggest liberals out there, but he is portrayed on NPR as this respected journalist. He has actually stated that a journalist cannot be biased because it is the viewer who brings the bias to the table. The journalist just reports it as they see it. How backwards can you get!!!! If the journalist reports it as they see it, then that in turn means that they are going to see it through the eyes of their own viewpoints, which means they have already biased the reporting. Just another liberal who wants you to believe that they have some higher calling, are above suspicion and are only looking out for the welfare of others. I think I would rather them come right out and say that they are liberals and that is how they will report the news, than continue on with the charade.

I have never been a big Juan Williams fan and I definitely do not agree with his politics, but what happened to him was wrong in my opinion. I hope NPR gets what should be coming to them and all federal funding be removed from them. They already spend it seems four months out of the year asking for people to donate. That is fine if people what to give to them, but get the taxpayers out of the process.
